Have you noticed when you’re feeling stressed or overwhelmed your breathing is shallow?

Here’s a very short afternoon meditation that will help you relax and breathe deeply. We are far more likely to find the information we need to know when in this relaxed meditative state, than when we are running around trying to be Superwoman or Superman!

Sit comfortably in a quiet place, either cross legged on the floor or on a chair with your spine straight and your feet flat on the floor.

Make a recording of your voice reading the mediation, so you can enjoy it time and time again. You may want to have gentle music playing in the background, but this is not necessary.

Breathe right down into your belly, hold for 2 counts and breathe out fully. Imagine that you are inhaling love and exhaling stress. Repeat this twice more. Let your shoulders drop as your body relaxes.

Now place one hand on your heart and one on your belly. As you breathe in feel your heart expand with love and your belly expand with air.

Continue breathing in this manner while listening to these words:

You are safe
You are loved
All is well
Release yesterday
Release this morning
You are whole and perfect as you are
Life is beautiful

Stay in this relaxed state for as long as it feels right for you. When you are ready to come back into the room repeat these words:
All is well
And so it is!
