Barbra Streisand mourning the death of dog

The 75-year-old singer and actress took to social media to pay tribute to her beloved pet pooch Samantha, who has passed away after 14 years in the family.

Captioning the image, she wrote: "Jason took this pic of me holding Sammie on Mother's Day. This is the last time my picture was taken with my beloved girl Samantha.

"May she rest in peace. We cherish every moment of the 14 years we had with her. May 2003 - May 2017. (sic)"

It comes after Barbra opened up about her home life, admitting she finds her husband James Brolin attractive even when they argue.

She said: "I love beauty, whether it's in a piece of furniture or a man. My husband has the perfect forehead, the perfect jaw, the perfect teeth. Even if he makes me angry, I get a kick out of his symmetry."

And Barbra also confessed there have been times where she's had to fake the chemistry between herself and a co-star, so much so that she asked for a chocolate cake to be left to the side of the stage so that she could pine for that rather than her leading man.

She explained: "It was a chocolate cake and it was put on the stool [in the wings] where I could see it. It wasn't that I had to cry. It was that I was supposed to be in love with the actor but I couldn't feel anything for him. I didn't even like him. I put the piece of cake in the wings so I could pine for the piece of cake."
