Coronation Street actor Bruno Langley is reportedly facing claims that he acted inappropriately towards a woman in a Manchester bar.

The 34-year-old actor, who plays Todd Grimshaw, is said to be 'devastated' following the allegations but does not know what the woman is accusing him of beyond 'inappropriate conduct'.

ITV launched an investigation when the woman filed a formal complaint the day after meeting Bruno in a bar.

He is understood to be away from the set but it is not known if he is suspended.

The police are not thought to be involved in the investigation.

A source said: "He is very upset. This is devastating for him. A complaint has been received and is being taken very seriously.

"Bruno has been asked to give an account of what happened and that is being checked against the woman's statement.

"He doesn't even know what she is alleging beyond inappropriate conduct. There has been no announcement to cast and crew. Police are not involved at this stage."

The father-of-one split from partner Victoria Roscoe in 2013 and has since spoken of how he always 'tries to be a gentleman' when talking to the opposite sex.

On screen, Bruno plays bad boy Todd, Corrie's first openly gay character.

But in real life he is a devoted dad to Freddie, 10, his son with his ex-girlfriend.

He has previously said: 'I love being a dad. I have him to stay as much as I can."
