Former Partridge Family star David Cassidy says he's struggling with memory loss.

The 66-year-old actor-singer tells People magazine his family has a history of dementia and he had sensed "this was coming." He says for now he wants to stay focused and "enjoy life."

This announcement follows fans concerns last week as they witnessed David Cassidy play at a venue in Los Angeles. Cassidy struggled to remember song lyrics and slurred his words as he stumbled around the stage.

The Partridge Family star has battled with addiction problems in the past, but fans are afraid that the 66-year old has relapsed and fallen back into his old ways.

In the videos that his fans have uploaded to social media, you can see the star rambling and falling off the stage at one point.

Cassidy has had numerous personal problems in the decades following his initial success, ranging from substance abuse to bankruptcy.

It's such a shame to see the decline of an artist like Cassidy, and hopefully he will get the help that he needs.
