Princess Charlotte's first day

Princess Charlotte's first day at nursery school has been celebrated with the release of two photos taken by her mother, the Duchess of Cambridge.

The two-year-old who is fourth in line to the throne had her picture taken at Kensington Palace before heading off to her first day at the nearby Willcocks Nursery School.

Charlotte can be seen sitting down on some outside steps outside the palace, with another photograph displaying her standing holding onto the rail.
