After more than 10 years since Steve Irwin passed away, Robert has made his very first television debut by appearing on The Tonight Show.

The 13 year old was a hit with the audience as he introduced a very nervous Jimmy Fallon to an array of different animals.

Fallon spoke so passionately about his life at Australia Zoo that Jimmy said: "It's so cool to see you like this - you're your dad!"

"It's in my blood," said Robert, whose bright blonde hair and traditional explorer's khakis made for an uncanny resemblance to his late father, who died in 2006 after being pierced in the chest with a stingray barb.

"I'm the luckiest kid on the planet."

He finished his appearance off by helping Fallon overcome his fear of animals by giving him a sloth and letting him feed and cuddle the gentle animal.
