A 47-year-old woman has opened up about the moment she went into cardiac arrest after she got excited when she saw her 'girl crush' Adele.

Megan Nicholson, from Sydney, was at the the sold-out concert at ANZ Stadium in March after her husband Andrew gifted her VIP tickets as an early birthday present.

But just an hour into the show, the mother-of-two collapsed after her heart stopped beating, prompting the popstar to tearfully stop mid-way through her song.

Speaking to Woman's Day, Ms Nicholson revealed she initially tried to throw a diamante bracelet on stage for the singer just moments before she blacked out.

'Once I got to the stage and saw her [Adele] coming towards me I felt an adrenaline rush, and then I felt clammy and nauseous,' Ms Nicholson told the magazine.

The mother-of-two was then wheeled out of the stadium on a stretcher in front of 95,000 fans as the songstress told the crowd 'someone got hurt'.

'I was dead. My family almost lost me,' Ms Nicholson said.

Following the incident, the self-described 'healthy' woman said she never had any heart problems until the night of the concert.

'The only explanation the doctors could come up with is the adrenaline rush sent me into cardiac arrest,' Ms Nicholson said.

The woman said she initially felt nauseous when she saw the pop superstar walk towards her on stage before she suffered a cardiac arrest.

Her family was left reeling after they were told to brace for the worst because the condition only has a five per cent chance of survival.

Doctors said they were 99 per cent sure the mother would wake up but had cast doubt on whether she'd have brain damage or if she'd walk again.

But against all odds, the fan made a full recovery but she's now on a mission to give the bracelet to Adele after the jewellery never made it on stage.

Her interview comes after the singer dedicated her song 'Take It All' to Ms Nicholson and wished her a speedy recovery the following night of her concert.

'At this point in the show last night, there was a lady, she got really ill down there and I sang this song and with my back to what was going on,' she told the crowd.

'I knew what was going on but I was really scared and it was at this point I stopped the show to check if she was okay.

'I don't know if she's okay yet but I'd like to sing this song for her tonight.'

'I wish you a speedy recovery. I look forward to finding out who you are, I don't know who she is yet and I'll be speaking to you soon, I hope.'
