Olivia Newton-John has had an incredibly tough year after being diagnosed with cancer for the second time.

But as the Australian sweetheart tries to remain positive, it appears she was given something to smile this month.

According to reports in Woman's Day, the 69-year-old actress' daughter Chloe Lattanazi was secretly wed to fiance James Driskill.

In November, the model and aspiring pop-star began calling herself 'wife to James Driskill' in her Instagram bio, after being engaged to her beau since 2010.

A source close to the family told the publication Olivia was overjoyed by the news, and was happy her daughter had found a wonderful man to share her life with.

The mystery insider claimed Olivia approved of the union: 'She adores James and definitely sees him as her son.'

'It's been a dark year, but to see her daughter doing so well after the problems she's had in the past is a dream come true for Olivia,' they continued.

Suggesting the nuptials were of no surprise to Olivia, the source added: 'There's a lot of talk among their inner circle that Chloe and James have already tied the knot. They've been as good as married for years and he's very much a part of the family.'

Chloe has been with the martial arts expert since 2009, becoming engaged in 2010.

The actress and model credited James with her recovery from anorexia in 2015, telling Fox411: 'I think my fiancé had a lot to do with helping me get through it.'

At the time, Chloe admitted that they had been dragging their engagement for a while.

'We've been engaged for four years. We're both lazy and we're thinking sometime next year,' she said.

Meanwhile, Olivia was diagnosed with cancer for the second time this year, after she was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 1992 at the age of 43.

At the time, she underwent a partial mastectomy, chemotherapy and breast reconstruction, which left her with a clean bill of health.

The singer recently underwent radiation treatment to help her latest cancer diagnosis, but said in an interview with 60 Minutes that her husband's grown medical marijuana has helped her through the pain.

The treatment appears to have been working, with the singer announcing she's well enough to return to the stage for several concerts this month.

Olivia has been married to businessman and herb tycoon John Easterling since 2008. She was married to Chloe's father, American actor and dancer Matt Lattanzi, from 1984 to 1995
