Images of a TransAsia flight clipping a bridge before plunging into a river, killing 43 people on board, shocked the world in February.

Now, details of the flight's final moments have now been released - including the pilot's last words.

According to Taiwan's Aviation Safety Council report, just eight seconds before the crash, the pilot was recorded saying: "Wow, pulled back the wrong side throttle".

The final words recorded on the flight's black box came from the monitoring pilot shouting: "Impact, impact, brace for impact".

The report found that after one engine lost power, the captain mistakenly switched off the plane's other working engine.

It also revealed just a year earlier, the captain failed simulator training.
