'The Beast' from the The Chase reveals the interesting reason behind his name

Mark Labbett or 'The Beast' as he goes by on the show has been called 'The Beast' for as long as the show has been going, but does anyone actually know why?
It turns out that the name actually relates to Mark's surname.
In French, 'The Beast' is 'la bête' which happens to be very close to Labbett.
So there you have it! He's a French beast!
