Nothing says best friends forever like friendship bracelets... or diamond and pearl earrings if you're Meghan Markle and the Queen.

To celebrate their royal engagement debut together last week, Her Majesty gave the former actress an incredibly touching gift.

Yep, according to Buckingham Palace, Queen Elizabeth gifted her granddaughter-in-law a pair of earrings before their royal visit to Cheshire.

The best part? The diamond stud with drop pearl earrings are a miniature version of the Queen's own favourite earrings.

AND they both wore their matching accessories during their visit to the north of England.

While the 36-year-old only joined the royal family four weeks ago when she married Prince Harry, the earrings hold a lot of meaning - especially as they come from the Queen's own collection.

Plus, they were the perfect sparkly touch to Markle's all-cream Givenchy dress.

This was the first time the brunette beauty has accompanied the queen on her own without her husband Harry, 33, by her side.

The duo travelled by royal train to Chester - a gesture which has never been extended to the Duchess of Cambridge - where they unveiled the likes of Mersey Gateway Bridge and the Storyhouse Theatre together.
