Your phone will never run out of juice again, thanks to a battery charger that runs on water. Swedish fuel cell company myFC devised the PowerTrekk charger for people who spend a lot of time where there are no plugs like hunters, soldiers or explorers. With just a tablespoon of any kind of water, the device produces around 10 hours of battery life for a cell phone, flashlight, GPS, laptop computer or any other electronic gizmo. The water seeps into a disposable cartridge loaded with sodium silicide, a chemical devised by New York based "green" energy company SiGNA Chemistry. The reaction creates hydrogen gas, which is then converted into electricity. The first models will go on sale for $299 this spring. (Sun)
