Do you need a caffeine hit to handle the morning madness, but don't have the time to brew a cuppa?
How about inhaling your caffeine instead?
A Harvard professor has whipped up Aeroshot. It's a lipstick-sized tube that delivers 100 milligrams of caffeine powder in a quick huff. That's around the same amount as a large coffee, with added B vitamins to give an extra zing. The powder disolves instantly and each container has around 6 puffs.
'Aeroshot' has raised questions about possible risks though, with fears it could be used as a club drug by young people who'll overdose on caffeine.
The inventor however, says it's safe, doesn't contain additives commonly used to magnify the caffeine buzz and isn't targeted at people aged under 18.
The wee booster went on sale last month in Massachusetts, New York, France and on-line.
For the diet conscious, Aeroshot is calorie-free, but if you're expecting a coffee taste, you'll be disappointed - it's a lemon-lime flavour.
It's not the professor's first foray into the world of whiffing - he's the man who came up with a breathable chocolate, aptly called Le Whif.
He's also working on a product called Le Whaf, with other food and drinks transformed into a low-calorie flavour puff.
Personally, give me the real thing any day except in a very low-energy emergency!
