Do you share your November 14 birthday with Prince Charles? Why not celebrate by joining him for dinner!
The Prince and his wife, the Duchess of Cornwall, are to visit New Zealand between November 10 and 16 as part of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations. The prince's birthday is on November 14, as is Governor-General Sir Jerry Mateparae's.
To mark the occasion, Sir Jerry has invited Kiwis over 18 who also share the birthday to put their names forward for a Kiwiana-themed party at Government House. A ballot will be held in October to decide which lucky 64 New Zealanders get to go.
New Zealand music will be played and whitebait, asparagus, lamb and pavlova are possibly on the menu.
Around 12,000 New Zealanders have a November 14 birthday, although not all will be eligible for the party, because they'll be under 18.
Government House officials have asked that no-one brings along gift, though Monarchy New Zealand chairman Sean Palmer, reckons a suitable gift might be a donation to a not-for-profit organisation in recognition of the prince's charitable endeavours.
So here's how to give yourself a chance of dining with royalty...
