Product Safety Recall
Goldair ecosave Panel Heater – model GECO200
Sold between February to December 2011
Goldair is voluntarily recalling the Goldair ecosave Panel Heaters (model GECO200) sold last year.
The recall is isolated to model GECO200 Goldair ecosave Panel Heaters sold by Mitre 10 Mega, Mitre 10 and Briscoes stores between February and December 2011.
A possible manufacturing fault has been identified where a safety fuse can cause a small hole to form in the panel. Only a small number of units have been affected, but Goldair is taking the precaution of recalling all relevant units as a safety measure.
If you believe your Goldair ecosave Panel Heater may be affected, stop using your heater immediately and contact Goldair directly by calling freephone 0800 232 633 between 8am and 5pm weekdays, or email ecosave@goldair.co.nz (please do not return your heater to store).
The 2012 model (currently on sale) is not affected.
