Feeling lonely? Use a Hugvie.

Wednesday, May 02, 2012

It's the latest and creepiest way to get closer to someone on the phone.

Just slot your mobile into the Hugvie. It's a robotic pillow-phone, with its own heartbeat and internal vibrators which become faster and stronger depending on the pitch and volume of your voice.

In future models, the Japanese inventors hope to include more sensors, so the other person's Hugvie responds to your movements and emotions too.

Personally, I'd run a mile from a person with a Hugvie, but I suspect I'm not the target market!
