Andrea Bocelli and Céline Dion unite fans around the world for emotional new 'The Prayer' video

It has become a message of hope during the current pandemic.

And now singing sensations Andrea Bocelli and Céline Dion have teamed up once again to brighten spirits and unite fans around the world with the lyrics of their 1999 hit duet, 'The Prayer.'

Releasing an emotional new video for the beautiful song last week, the duo revealed on Twitter: "We asked people around the world to come together over video for the new official lyric video for Andrea and @celinedion's much loved single, 'THE PRAYER.'

"Thank you fans of the world for your wonderful participation!"

The video features people from all over the world holding up signs and lipsyncing the song together virtually.

'The Prayer' - which was originally recorded by Dion and Bocelli in two separate solo versions for the 1998 movie Quest for Camelot - was then released in 1999 as an airplay single.

It went on to receive an Academy Award for best original song in 1999, and won the Grammy Award for best pop collaboration with vocals in 2000.
