Céline Dion is arguably one of the biggest female pop stars of the past 20 years ...

Yet Rolling Stone chose not to include her on its new list of the 200 Greatest Singers of All Time — and fans are furious.

Rolling Stone rang in 2023 with the annual list — something the music magazine has been known for since 2008.

Previously the list was determined through an "elaborate voting process that included input from well-known musicians."

However, due to results skewing in favour of older classic rockers, the determination process has now changed.

This time, the magazine's staffers and contributors compiled the list, which isn’t being well received.

After announcing the list on Instagram, the first comment was: "I need someone to explain how Celine Dion does not feature on this list?"

The comment was followed by multiple readers agreeing, with one writing: "I’m not even a fan of Celine but come on."

"Billie Eilish on the list but not CELINE DION??!!! This makes no sense at all," another commenter wrote.

Someone else stated: "Whoever made this list can’t have taken the task seriously."

While another pointed out that Dion has sold hundreds of millions of albums, and also stressed the fact that she’s made chart-topping music in both French and English.

From the list, here are Rolling Stone's top 20 Greatest Singers of All Time:

20. Marvin Gaye
