It's something that no one deserves to go through.

But after announcing in November 2016 that his then three-year-old son, Noah Bublé, was undergoing treatment for cancer, Michael Bublé has only recently opened up about the devastating experience.

The 'Haven't Met You Yet' singer said Noah's health struggle was "hell" for his family, with him and his wife, Luisana Lopilato, struggling "to survive and breathe" after the youngster was diagnosis with liver cancer hepatoblastoma.

"It sucks and it still sucks. What we went through is the worst possible thing you can go through as a parent and maybe as a human being," he said.

"I much rather it would have been me."

However, he admitted it was the thousands of people who sent their best wishes to the family that was ultimately what got him through the tough days.

"It gave us faith in humanity, to be really blunt," he added.

The couple - who married in 2011 - are also parents to son Elias, three, and one-year-old daughter Vida.
