Steampunks take over Thames!

A motorbike ride to Thames on Saturday turned into something quite unexpected. 

I had no idea the annual Steampunk Festival was on in town that weekend. It looked like every SteamPunk in NZ - maybe the world - was there.

The main street of Thames was spilling over with otherwise average, everyday folk who had transformed themselves into these crazy Victorian -Industrial Age - Wild West characters!

And the street parade was incredible. There were Steampunks as far as the eye could see - they just kept coming!
