Tune into Coast Days with Lorna for your chance to WIN a double pass to one of the following events:

  • Brigantine Breeze Sailing thanks to the New Zealand Maritime Museum
  • Peace, Love, and Protest Badges thanks to Corban Estate Arts Centre
  • Film Roll Experience with John Pratt thanks to Corban Estate Arts Centre

Presented by Auckland Council, the much-loved Auckland Heritage Festival returns from 23 September – 8 October with the theme of ‘Peace, Love and Protest’ – marking 50 years since anti-nuclear protests were embraced by the nation.

Sail aboard Breeze, the brigantine that stood in for Rainbow Warrior on the 1985 peace flotilla to Moruroa, or send along your older children and teenagers to learn how to make an effective protest poster with award-winning cartoonist Toby Morris.

With more than 160 events – many of which are free or low-cost – enjoy walks, talks, vintage markets and an afternoon tea or two. Learn about the generations of Aucklanders who have shaped the Tāmaki Makaurau we know today.

For a full list of events, visit the website or pick up a print programme from your local library. See you at the Auckland Heritage Festival!
