According to Mrs Brown herself, there were no hard feelings behind the beloved star leaving the hit comedy show.

He added that Rory will most likely go on to achieve "amazing success".

O'Carroll said that Rory leaving the cast was "like Ronaldo leaving United".

Rory, who played Agnes's son both on stage and behind a camera for a total of 26 years simply stated that he was "unhappy" and had decided to leave the set.

O'Carroll was full of praise towards Rory, and only spoke kindly about him;

“To all of us it feels like Ronaldo leaving Man Utd. But Ronaldo went on to amazing success which I know Rory will too,”

“I can’t even quantify the contribution Rory has made to our success and the wellbeing of me and my family, not just on screen or stage but way before that as a friend and a driving force in getting us here. He’s a legend.”

He certainly will be missed.
