The 15:17 to Paris is Clint Eastwood's latest flick that is based on the book of the same name.

The story follows three American heroes that took down a jihadist terrorist in a high-speed train that opened fire.

The three friends will play younger versions of themselves in the movie, and will be based on the events leading up to the incident.

Anthony Sadler spoke to 'Good Day Sacremento' about the book.

The trio received Legion d'honneur medals for their actions on the train, while also receiving a hero award from Eastwood himself at an awards ceremony late last year.

If the production does go ahead, The 15:17 to Paris will be one of the first fact-inspired films that starred non-actors.

The other being a 2012 movie called 'Act Of Valor' which starred the actual Navy Seals that embarked on the covert mission.
