Two-year-old Princess Charlotte has a net worth calculated to be around the $6 billion worth, which is almost double of that of her brother George.

But, why? It's all thanks to what the Princess wears.

Leading independent branded business valuation consultancy, Brand Finance, has found that in just two years, Charlotte's influence has a net value of about $6 billion, which started growing the second she was presented to the world.

This comes from the so-called "Charlotte effect" that see's clothing that the Princess dons to be sold out within hours.

But why does Princess Charlotte's clothing net her more than what Prince George wears?

Brand Finance's marketing and communications director, Robert Haigh, explained to Marie Claire:

'This is actually as simple as the relative size of the men's and women's fashion markets, by which I mean that Charlotte's endorsement effect will likely be felt across a much broader range of products and brands or types of clothing than will George's, allowing a greater scope for the monetisation of her 'brand' and hence a higher value.'

Knowing this, we're sure that whatever Charlotte wears when she's a bridesmaid at Aunt Pippa's wedding next weekend will instantly sell out!
