After lifting the spirits of many soldiers during the Second World War, Vera Lynn is going to have her picture projected onto the same cliffs that she sung about a few decades ago.

Her song, 'The White Cliffs of Dover' was credited with giving hope to the Allied soldiers that were fighting on the front lines in World War 2.

This event coincides with the launch of her latest album - which is a feat in itself. She is already setting a new record by releasing an album at 100, and if it goes to number one, she'll be her own record that she set at 92.

She spoke to the Sunday Express about what it all means to her:

"It's truly humbling that people still enjoy these songs from so many years ago, reliving the emotions of that time."

Amazingly enough, Vera will be releasing the album on the same label that she first released on, Decca Records, 78 years ago.

Absolutely stunning! Would love to go one day. #thewhitecliffsofdover #England #travelgoals

Releasing an album in itself is hard enough, let alone doing it at 100 - great work Vera, and happy birthday!
