The Grenfell charity single has won widespread praise from Twitter users after debuting on UK radio stations on Wednesday morning.

The song, an all-star cover of Simon and Garfunkel's 1970 hit Bridge Over Troubled Water, was lauded as 'so beautiful' as more than 50 musicians including Rita Ora, Paloma Faith, Leona Lewis and Stormzy collaborated for the song.

Simon Cowell, who organised the charity single, confirmed all proceeds will be donated to the victims and families affected by the horrific blaze which has claimed the lives of 79 after hitting the tower block in west London last week.

Twitter users swarmed the microblogging site while the song played, with touched listeners penning: 'The Grenfell Tower single is lovely...
