Robbie Williams was here in NZ last week for one show at Mission Estate before heading over to Australia to continue his tour.

While performing in Sydney, he stopped his show and handed his microphone over to a fan in the audience who then asked his girlfriend if she would marry him - how sweet!

The crowd of 38,000 watched as Daniel proposed to Lauren before Robbie congratulated the happy couple, adding that Daniel's proposal, was 'the best little speech I've heard in a long time.'

'I think she said yes, I'm not sure,' he joked as he watched the couple embrace.

'God bless you mate, have a wonderful life together. And yeah I've been with my wife for 18 years and she was the making of me and she's the reason that I am the man that I am today and that I am happy.'

Cheekily, Robbie then asked the couple if they had any children.

After confirming that they had one, Robbie joked, 'You got one! You f***ing cheeky bastard! Obviously not Catholic, Listen go and make a few more.'

Later on in the show, Robbie paid tribute to John Farnharm with a rendition of the 74-year-old music legend's hit Your the Voice.

'We're thinking of you John and we're sending our love,' Robbie said as he introduced the '80s classic.

John made headlines in August after revealing he was cancer-free, 12 months after having mouth surgery.
