We've all been there. You're hanging out your washing when you realise one of your socks has gone missing. You check the basket, the wardrobe, your drawers, but there are no stray garments to be seen anywhere. You have to give up on the hunt, but it's not as if they could have just been swallowed up by the washing machine, right?

Well it turns out that it actually could be true! A couple in California were sick of their washing machine plaing up so decided to take it apart and try find out what was wrong. Upon removing the bottom panel of the machine, they were shocked  to find a clogged mish-mash of clothes jamming up the whole thing.

Cathy Hinz shared the post saying:"Today, my husband got tired of fooling with one of the washing machines that was just not working properly and decided to take it apart, starting with the bottom panel.

"To his shock, this is what he found. Socks, underwear, $10, a credit card... and that is just what was in the bottom of the machine.

"Now, for those of you that SWEAR, your machine eats your small things, and have been told by 'professionals' and others that this fable just is not true... Here is the proof!"

"So next time you are missing socks, just remember! That washing machine might just be hungry!"

This is a big breakthrough for the Missing Sock Society and now hopefully we can solve this issue!
