Got questions about Coast? We’ve got answers!

From music, hosts, and competitions to how to listen anywhere in New Zealand (or beyond), this is your one-stop guide to everything Coast.

1. How can I listen to Coast?

Stream Coast right here online or on your phone with the free iHeartRadio app. iHeart also provides access to local frequencies, so you can enjoy content tailored to your region.

Find your local iHeart regions below for Coast!

Find your local frequency across the North and South islands below to listen on your radio.

2. What type of music do you play?

Coast is your home of Feel Good '80s. We get the magic of '80s music, taking you on a sonic journey through the decade that revolutionised pop culture.

From Michael Jackson's Billie Jean and Thriller to Madonna's Like a Virgin & Material Girl ... from Prince's Purple Rain to Whitney Houston's powerhouse vocals in I Wanna Dance with Somebody - this is your soundtrack.

3. How does Coast decide on music to play?

The Coast Music Director chooses the music we play on Coast, based on listener research and music charts. We also take into consideration what our listeners do and don't want to hear - you can have your say and Rate the Music.

4. Why do some songs play more than others?

We base the frequency of music on what listeners tell us they love in our Rate the Music survey. We often run competitions where you have to listen out for a certain artist to win a trip to see them live, so we might play them more frequently during the competition period to get more people in the draw.
