To celebrate New Zealand wine company, Babich Wines, turning 100 this year, Babich have undertaken a survey to find out which famous Kiwis, out of a list of 20 from the past 10 decades, New Zealanders would most like to share a glass of wine with.

Film maker Sir Peter Jackson has come out on top as the person Kiwis would most like to have a bottle of wine with in the survey.

However, proving politicians are a divisive bunch, Prime Minister John Key and former Prime Minister Helen Clark both feature on the most and least popular lists. Key was at the top of the least favoured list, and also tied for fifth alongside model Rachel Hunter on the most favoured list.

Top five most popular:

1. Peter Jackson

2. Helen Clark

3. Billy T. James

4. Kate Sheppard

5. John Key & Rachel Hunter

Top five least popular:

1. John Key

2. Helen Clark

3. Dame Kiri Te Kanawa
