If you’re a specs-wearer, you’ll know there are times when glasses are just not practical. Like when playing sport or at the gym, this is where contact lenses could be an option, daily disposables would be a perfect option for occasional use.

A lot of people are put off trying contact lenses because they are afraid to touch their eye.

But this just takes some getting used to and if you insert them properly, the contact lens should feel as natural as your own eyelid. In fact, once they’re in, you won’t be able to feel them at all.

If you’re interested in trying contact lenses for the first time, it’s worth speaking with your local optometrist for a contact lens assessment, where they can assess your requirements and offer a lens type best suited to your lifestyle and needs.

If you have any concerns about your contact lenses or what to learn more, speak to your local Specsavers optometrist or visit www.specsavers.co.nz.
