Protecting your eyes with sunglasses is very important, especially when you are outdoors and exposed to the harsh UV rays present here in New Zealand.

When in the market for new prescription sunglasses, you should always make sure that your eyewear provides ample UV protection from the sun. Polarised lenses offer optimal reduction of glare.

Even when it is overcast and cloudy, UV rays are still harmful to your delicate eyes. During winter it is important that you wear polarised sunglasses when outdoors, in particular when skiing or snowboarding as the snow reflects the UV rays towards your face.

Specsavers currently stock a wide range of designer prescription sunglasses for both men and women, making sure that you not only look great, but you are getting the right protection for your eyes when outdoors.
