At some point in our lives, we all find it difficult to get up and go in the mornings.

I know this only to well. The most important thing to get motivated is to make a routine in your life.

But first we have to decide what are we being motivated to do and what is our goal.

Some of our goals might be, to make more money to be a better parent, or lose weight … for today’s exercise our goal is to be healthy, fit and live longer.

We need to write down our goals and if you’re tech savvy use your tablet or computer for me I prefer a diary and a pen.

There are 3 steps we need to do to focus on achieving our goal:

  1. Step 1 – What is your goal?
Our example goal is to be healthy, fit and live longer

  2. Step 2 – Get a plan.
Increase fitness, eat more greens drink more water – simple things. Keep doing that but now we’re going to chuck in yoga, add in a short course in nutrition or counseling.

Remember to look back at your family history. What is the health history of your family? Is there’s high blood pressure, diabetes, arthritis? Delving into your blood line will individualize your health plan.

  3. Step 3 - Remember to take baby steps.

Speaking of baby steps and getting motivated – here’s a cool tip to help you get up and go and its as simple as making your bed.

Many of us feel like we can’t get out of bed for what ever reason… But a routine is the first step that helps to motivate you. Then you can move on to goal setting and looking after yourself.

Trust me, there have been many times I’ve curled up in bed pulled the blankets over my head to shut the world out, but it didn’t help.

I promise you this actually works.

Make your bed up to look clean and tidy.

The best thing about making the bed is it looks great and you can’t back get in to mess up all your hard work and who wants to do that? Now get on with your motivated day.
