After 30 years, Elton John is saying goodbye to his Atlanta, Georgia, penthouse and its contents.

Later this month, Christie’s will host a series of eight auctions featuring a staggering 900 items from the music legend’s former residence in the United States. It's anticipated that the entire sale will amass approximately $10 million.

Among the items up for auction are his collection of Versace clothing, a grand piano, ornate glassware, custom luxury watches, and a trove of art and photographs.

The assortment ranges from personal memorabilia, such as a Banksy triptych acquired directly from the artist and a Damien Hirst artwork dedicated to Elton and his husband David Furnish, to historically significant pieces like the iconic blue wool Captain Fantastic suit and a pair of silver leather tall platform boots.

The collection reflects not only Elton and David's taste but also Elton's collecting habits. As David told the New York Times, "As time went on, the walls got more full. Elton never put things in drawers; he bought them to live with his art."

Ahead of the sale, the items are on display at Christie's New York headquarters, as seen in this video below which takes us on a tour of the impressive display!
