Balclutha woman finds lost ring in an incredible way

As far as Carol Creighton was concerned, she had lost her eternity ring and she would never find it again.

That was until her friend dug up some carrots from her garden; "I think I've got a surprise for you' he said." as he handed her a bunch of carrots.

"What have you lost?" he asked.

The only thing that Carol could think of was her eternity ring - and there it was, embedded in a carrot.

She last recalled having the ring back in 2006.

"I was in the garden and, as girls do, very proud of wearing their rings and what have you, I lost it."

And only 11 years later, the same garden that took Carol's ring has returned it.
