Barry to host Seven Sharp

Hilary Barry is officially moving to Seven Sharp- and Hayley Holt will be replacing her on Breakfast!

TVNZ has confirmed rumours that barry will be hosting Seven Sharp this year after the departure of Mike Hosking and Toni Street at the end of last year.

But many are surprised with the confirmation of Holt as her replacement on Breakfast.

We’re really excited to announce that talented broadcaster and athlete Hayley Holt will be joining Jack, Matty and Daniel for Breakfast this year. Hayley’s had dozens of jobs on TV from her time on Dancing with the Stars, hosting the Crowd Goes Wild, and showing off her smarts on Back Benches. While we’re sad to say goodbye to Hilary, we know she’ll nail it on Seven Sharp. Hayley’s excited to settle in with the team and we can’t wait for you all to meet her. See you on Monday!

Holt said her hosting duties would be "surreal".

"I've watched the programme for years and it feels slightly surreal to know I'll be hosting the show alongside Jack in a week's time," Holt said.

"I hope he knows what he's in for!"
