Australia Zoo and the Irwin family are gearing up for the annual celebration of the late patriarch, Crocodile Hunter, Steve Irwin.

Australia Zoo shared a post on social media counting down the days to the special day, in which Steve's life will be celebrated. They have also encouraged event goers to wear their best 'Khaki' to receive a discount on entry.

Patrons will also receive a free breakfast on the day, as well as enjoy live music from Australian pop singer, Christine Anu.

Since Steve's tragic death in 2006, The Irwin family have promised to keep his vision alive. Terri, Bindi and youngest son Robert have travelled the world promoting Irwin's nonprofit, Wildlife Warriors, and organisation that educates people on endangered species. All 3 also work at Australia Zoo, and star in the Animal Planet, "Crikey! It's the Irwins".
