It looks like Rami Malek could be about to grow out his moustache and reattach his fake teeth once again ...

Following the success of the Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody, guitarist Brian May previously revealed a sequel to the film was in the works.

And now the rocker has ignited excitement with his latest update on how the script might be approached.

Speaking to the Daily Star, he said: "Bohemian Rhapsody climaxed in Live Aid and I suppose implicitly Freddie starting to deal with his AIDS, but an awful lot happened between the end of the film to the end of the glory days of Queen."

He also admitted the idea of working once again with the talented actors who played Queen - Rami Malek took on the role of Freddie Mercury, while May was played by Gwilym Lee, Roger Taylor by Ben Hardy and John Deacon by Joe Mazzello - was an exciting notion.

"We’ve been talking about it. I felt proud of it and the people who played us were just phenomenal. It’s so tempting to do the sequel – it would be worth it just to work with those boys again."

In 2018, Malek won an Academy Award for his stunning portrayal of Freddie Mercury.

The film went on to gross a whopping $911 million dollars at the worldwide box office, and eventually became the highest-grossing musical biopic of all time.
