It looks like Rami Malek could be about to grow out his moustache and reattach his fake teeth once again ...

Unsurprisingly, following the success of the Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody, guitarist Brian May revealed a sequel to the film was in the works - as we all know there are many more great stories for the band to tell.

And now the rocker has shared an "exciting" update on the project.

Speaking to Express.co.uk, the 74-year-old rocker said: "It's going to take a lot of careful thought and a lot of magical inspiration – which is what happened [with Bohemian Rhapsody].

"Y’know, it took us 12 years to put that film together. So maybe it's going to take just as long for this."

He added: "For the moment we're just looking at ideas, that's it. It is exciting, I have to say. The thought of going through that all again is very attractive; working with that wonderful team again.

"The four guys who played us and the team who produced it and directed it and everything. It was all amazing."

When the publication suggested the sequel be called The Show Must Go On, the Queen legend replied: "Ahhh…it's a distinct possibility, isn't it? I can't say it's a bad idea …"

In 2018, Malek won an Academy Award for his stunning portrayal of Freddie Mercury.

The film went on to gross a whopping $911 million dollars at the worldwide box office, and eventually became the highest-grossing musical biopic of all time.
