She's the iconic singer known for her glittering career and incredibly powerful voice.
But away from the stage, Celine Dion has been feeling more fragile, learning to live without her beloved husband, René Angélil.
Two years on from his painful death from cancer, the 49-year-old singer has spoken candidly about her life as a widow and raising the couple's three growing sons.
'Even after he's gone, I still talk to him,' Celine revealed in an intimate interview with Stellar magazine published on Sunday.Â
'I'm trying to prove to him every day I'm fine. Our kids are growing, we feel strong. We're good,' she added.
Music producer René is credited with kicking off Celine's career, becoming her manager and mortgaging his home to finance her first record in the 1980s.Â
The couple's relationship went from professional to personal, and they married in 1994. Together they went on to have three children, René-Charles, now 17, and twins Eddy and Nelson, both seven.
Celine and her boys now live primarily in Las Vegas, where she performs nightly shows at Caesars Palace, a venture that has seen her earn tens of millions of dollars. Â
However, the Canadian-born superstar told Stellar magazine that after the curtain comes down she goes home to share a bed with her young twin sons, as it helps her sleep.
Appearing to live a relatively grounded life, Celine also revealed more domestic details, including that her sister acts as the twins' nanny, while 17-year-old René-Charles drives his late father's car. Â
