Cher cancels fourth consecutive Las Vegas residency show after illness

Singing legend Cher has cancelled her fourth consecutive Las Vegas concert after coming down with an upper-respiratory infection.

The 'If I Could Turn Back Time' singer first alerted fans to her illness last weekend on Sunday 23 February, as she cancelled her first show.

Taking to Twitter, she told concert goers: "I'm Devastated That I Had To Cancel The Show. I HATE CANCELING GIGS & RARELY DO IT, CONSIDERING HOW MANY I DO IN A YEAR.

"Some Ppl Around Me Were Sick, Now I'M As SICK As I Can Remember Being In a LONG Time."

The 73-year-old continued to give fans updates throughout the week, sharing a photo of a tissue box and revealing that she was having trouble breathing.

On Friday, Park MGM, where Cher performs her Classic Cher residency, said her upcoming weekend shows were also being cancelled as she was "on doctor's orders to rest."

"I'm SO SORRY about canceling, But I'm Really Really Sick," Cher tweeted following the announcement.

"I've been to three doctors & So Far no antibiotics are working."

She added: "My personal Dr (Who I trust ) Says HES seen a lot of this sickness and it a Rough one. He said 'It's [going] To Take Time.'"
