Cher declares New Zealand ice cream is the best in the world

It appears New Zealand ice cream has left a sweet taste in pop superstar Cher's mouth.

Yes, the 73-year-old singer has officially declared that us Kiwis have the best frozen treat in the world! 

While the 'If I Could Turn Back Time' hitmaker has been holidaying in Australia recently, it seems she could have made a sneaky trip across the ditch after she posted to Twitter that she'd just had the "best, most astonishing, astounding" ice cream here.

"Best [ice cream] I've had in my life New Zealand", she continued.

And this isn't the first time the Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again star has raved about our ice cream.

Cher stopped by Giapo in Auckland last year after performing two shows at Spark Arena.

Following her visit to the store she was interviewed on Australian breakfast TV and asked whose ice cream was better.

Of course, the 'Believe' songstress replied saying that New Zealand's was "still the best".

Cher is currently on a break after spending the first half of the year touring across America with her Here We Go Again shows.

She will begin touring across parts of Europe in early September.
