Cher reveals how she'll be spending her 78th birthday: I'll be "putting my pillow over my head and screaming"

Cher hates the idea of turning 78 so much she is planning to mark the birthday by screaming under her pillow.

The If I Could Turn Back Time singer, who turns 78 today, spoke out about how she despises ageing while attending the premiere of the documentary ‘Bob Mackie: Naked Illusion’ at the Paley Center in Los Angeles.

When asked by Entertainment Tonight what her plans were for the big day she said, “Putting my pillow over my head and screaming.”

When asked the same question at the event by E! News, the Believe singer added, “I’m putting my head under the bed.”

Cher last year celebrated her 77th birthday on Twitter by asking when she would start to feel her age.

She posted the message: “Ok, Will Someone (praying hands emoji) PLEASE Tell me…..When Will I Feel OLD (baby face emoji.)

“This is ridiculous. I keep hearing these numbers, but I Honestly can’t understand them. WHAT’S THE DEAL WITH #'s!? I’m dyslexic and #’s Are hard 4 me.”

She added to her fans: “Thank u for staying, I know it’s been hard. Got to go work out. Twitter is harder for me than TweetBot.”

In November, Cher told Good Morning Britain about her thoughts on ageing: “I just can’t believe I will be 80 at some point, sooner than I wish.

“And I will still be wearing my jeans and I will still be wearing long hair and I will still be doing the same stuff I’ve always done.”
