Coronavirus: For the thirteenth consecutive day New Zealand has no new cases of COVID-19

Today New Zealand has no new cases of COVID-19, says Director General of Health Ashley Bloomfield.

The total number of confirmed and probable cases since the pandemic began sits at 1,504.

The total of confirmed cases is 1,154.

There are no new deaths today. The death toll remains at 22, including 12 from the Rosewood cluster.

A total of 1,481 people are reported as having recovered from COVID-19 - no change on yesterday.

There is just one person left in New Zealand with a known active infection.

That case is a woman in her 50s linked to the St Margaret's rest home cluster in Auckland.

She will be considered recovered once she has gone two days with no symptoms.

There is no one in New Zealand receiving hospital-level care for COVID-19.

The Prime Minister yesterday outlined the "10 golden rules of level 1", which showed apart from a heightened awareness of hygiene and ongoing border controls, life will be almost back to normal.

On Monday, Cabinet will consider whether the country is ready for a move to level 1.

Jacinda Ardern had initially marked June 22 for D-Day to decide about moving to level 1, but she had left the door open to move the date forward.

If ready, New Zealanders would be given a few days' notice before the alert level was to drop.
