Coronavirus: New Zealand has 33 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the community

New Zealand has 33 new cases of COVID-19 in the community, reports the Ministry of Health.

All of the new cases are in Auckland.

Today a total of 372 cases are now reported as having recovered from Covid-19.

That brings the total number of active cases in the community to 583 (the total number of cases in this outbreak is now 955).

There are 21 people in hospital, including four patients in intensive care.

New Zealand is now at alert level 2.

Auckland will remain at alert level 4 until 11.59pm on Tuesday 14 September.

Cabinet will meet this afternoon to reassess the alert levels for the whole country, including Auckland.
