Pop icon Cyndi Lauper has officially been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, marking a long-awaited moment in her legendary career.
The 2025 ceremony, held at Los Angeles’ Peacock Theater, celebrated Cyndi's decades of musical innovation, activism, and unapologetic individuality.
Introduced by rising star Chappell Roan, who called her "a born performer and a revolutionary songwriter, a forever fashion icon, and a fierce advocate and ally."

Cyndi opened her performance with True Colours, followed by a duet of Time After Time with British singer Raye, and closed with a high-energy rendition of Girls Just Wanna Have Fun featuring Avril Lavigne and Salt-N-Pepa.
On stage, the Girls Just Wanna Have Fun musician said, “I know that I stand on the shoulders of the women in the industry that came before me, and my shoulders are broad enough to have the women that come after me to stand on mine … the little kid in me still believes that rock n’ roll can save the world.”
Also inducted this year was Outkast, Soundgarden, The White Stripes, Joe Cocker, and Bad Company.
