Dolly Parton isn't ready to retire yet and recently shared that she never plans to retire.

In an interview on UK's Greatest Hits Radio, she said "I would never retire, I’ll just hopefully drop dead in the middle of a song onstage someday, hopefully, one I’ve written. But anyway, that’s how I hope to go because we don’t have much of a choice in that.”

She continued, "As long as I’m able to work, as long as my health is good and my husband is good, the only way that I would ever slow down would be for that reason.”

“In the meantime, I’m going to make hay while the sun shines.”

She has previously brushed off the possibility of retirement, telling AARP Magazine in 2009 that she’ll be making records even if she has to “sell them out of the trunk of my car.”

Dolly also recently shared her views on AI and the possibility of continuing her legacy through a hologram after her passing, something she disagrees with.

During an interview with The Independent, she said “I think I’ve left a great body of work behind, I have to decide how much of that high-tech stuff I want to be involved [with] because I don’t want to leave my soul here on this earth.”

She added, “I think with some of this stuff I’ll be grounded here for ever… I’ll be around, we’ll find ways to keep me here.”

Dolly is currently focused on preparing for the release of her upcoming rock album Rockstar, which will release on November 17.
