Elton John and Paul McCartney team up for star-studded thank you video for healthcare workers

Some of the biggest names in music, screen, stage and sport have come together to pay a heartfelt tribute to healthcare workers fighting the coronavirus pandemic.

Taking to social media, the touching video which was posted by the NHS begins with Elton John saying: "You are our heroes and we salute each and every one of you. Thank you."

Then, one by one, a string of famous Brits appear, simply saying "thank you" to the frontline workers who are putting in long hours to fight against COVID-19.

The celebrities also hold up signs that say #ThankYouNHS.

Also featured in the online tribute are Paul McCartney, Bill Nighy, Ricky Gervais, Kate Winslet, Daniel Craig, Eddie Redmayne, Ralph Fiennes, Anthony Joshua, David Beckham, Kylie Minogue, Chris Martin, Piers Morgan, Graham Norton and Gordon Ramsay.

The video has already garnered more than 385,000 views.
