Ahead of the music legend's biopic Rocketman hitting cinemas, Elton John, Taron Egerton and longtime lyricist Bernie Taupin have teamed up to produce a brand new track, '(I’m Gonna) Love Me Again!'

The fresh duet - which has a bouncy disco vibe - will feature on the upcoming soundtrack for the film, Rocketman: Music From The Motion Picture.

Taron – who is best known for his roles in Kingsman, Sing and Eddie The Eagle – has already proven he's got impressive pipes, singing every song in the movie as he portrays a young flamboyant Elton.

In fact, John himself thinks Taron sings his songs better than anyone else.

"When I watch the movie, I don’t see an actor," John said. "I see myself. And that is an extraordinary thing for an actor to do. He has given a million per cent of him in this performance."

Rocketman is set to be released in New Zealand cinemas on May 30 – and we absolutely can not wait!

The film, which is directed by Dexter Fletcher, takes a look into the legendary musician's influential career and at the highs and lows of his personal life.

Rocketman also stars actors Richard Madden, Bryce Dallas Howard, Jamie Bell and Gemma Jones.
