Elton's tribute to David

It was a friendship that not many people knew about, but it was as genuine as any other.

Last night Elton shared this picture of the time that he introduced the star to another star, a Ringo Starr.

He captioned the picture with: "David Cassidy and I were really good friends in the 70's. We had so many great times together. Here I am introducing him to my friends Tony King andRingo Starr. So sad to hear of his passing. He was a lovely man. E x"
